Job Description:
S2N is seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the software development effort. As the VP of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment. Your role will be instrumental in driving innovation, ensuring high-quality software products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Develop and execute the software engineering strategy, aligning it with the overall company objectives and business goals.
Drive the development of our high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solution, utilizing the latest technologies and best practices.
Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other cross-functional teams to define software requirements, scope, and project timelines.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the software engineering organization.
Establish and enforce software development methodologies, coding standards, and quality assurance processes to ensure efficient and effective development practices.
Monitor and evaluate industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to inform software development strategies and keep the company at the forefront of software innovation.
Collaborate with external partners and vendors, when necessary, to integrate third-party software components or leverage external expertise.
Identify and mitigate technical risks, bottlenecks, and obstacles to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of software projects.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and security requirements.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of commercial software development experience in fast paced environment
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform, technology and lightning web components
- Demonstrated experience with Flask web framework
- Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem
- Proven experience in a leadership role, overseeing software development teams and successfully delivering complex software project.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong technical background in software engineering, with expertise in various programming languages (Python, JavaScript), software development methodologies, and architectural patterns.
- Extensive knowledge of software development, including familiarity with regulations, quality systems, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to drive iterative development processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential.
- Proven track record of driving innovation, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies, and implementing best practices in software engineering.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience in the Healthcare SaaS or a related field is desirable.
Compensation Range: $150-$200K depending on experience
