About the Role
This is a high-impact, highly visible role at the center of commercial success.
As Principal Marketing Manager, Video Operations, you will own and elevate the end-to-end demo and clinical evaluation experience for the Image 1 video endoscopy platform—one of KARL STORZ’s flagship technologies. From first customer interaction through conversion, you will define what “best-in-class” looks like and ensure it’s executed consistently across the U.S.
You’ll operate at the intersection of marketing, sales, operations, and clinical engagement—bringing strategy, structure, and innovation to a critical growth lever. Your work will directly influence revenue, market share, and competitive win rates.

What You’ll Do
Demo & Evaluation Excellence
- Own the full lifecycle of demos and clinical evaluations—volume, execution, and conversion outcomes
- Develop and execute strategies to drive year-over-year evaluation growth and competitive positioning
- Design tools, programs, and collateral that enhance evaluation effectiveness and sales success
- Analyze customer feedback, competitive insights, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on best-in-class evaluation execution
Sales Enablement & Training
- Develop and deliver training programs that empower field teams to lead high-impact evaluations
- Support targeted field engagements to reinforce best practices and maintain hands-on expertise
- Create compelling selling tools and customer-facing materials aligned to evaluation strategy
Product & Launch Ownership
- Lead evaluation readiness for new product launches, including planning, logistics, and training
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Operations, Regulatory, Clinical, Quality, Legal, and Customer Support
- Collaborate with demand planning and samples teams to forecast and align inventory needs
Operational & Commercial Excellence
- Optimize evaluation logistics, equipment quality, and operational processes in partnership with Technical Services
- Manage budgets with a focus on ROI and business impact
- Build strong partnerships with regional sales leadership to drive adoption and growth
- Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reporting to communicate performance and insights to leadership
Leadership & Brand Stewardship
- Act as a brand ambassador for the Image 1 platform—ensuring consistent messaging and positioning
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders across the U.S.
- Mentor junior team members and lead through influence and expertise
- Independently manage labs, conventions, and customer-facing events
What You Bring
Experience & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of medical sales and/or marketing experience (minimum 3 years in marketing)
- Medical device marketing, product management, or MIS experience required
- Experience working with third-party manufacturers or agencies
Leadership & Execution
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority
- Strong project management and operational execution capabilities
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical mindset with experience translating data into action
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience required
- Experience building dashboards, metrics, and performance tracking
Communication & Impact
- Exceptional presentation, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to engage effectively with sales teams, clinicians, and executive leadership
Preferred
- 15+ years of experience in medical device or healthcare marketing
- Experience leading demo, evaluation, or customer experience programs
- Background in operational/logistical program management
- MBA preferred
Additional Information
- Travel required: ~20–30% (up to 40% as needed)
- Frequent interaction with hospitals, operating rooms, and clinical environments
- Ability to lift equipment exceeding 25 lbs. may be required
- Must meet all hospital credentialing, safety, and regulatory requirements
