Description

Women in Medtech Forum: Leveraging Remote Stroke Technologies to Increase Access to Care

MARCH 16TH | 8:00 - 10:00 AM

Siemens Healthineers Endovascular Robotics (formerly Corindus Vascular Robotics)
275 Grove Street, Newton (Auburndale), MA

According to the Office on Women's Health in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, women are more likely to die of a stroke than men, impacting one out of every five women. Presenting with non-traditional stroke symptoms, women tend to have worse outcomes from a stroke than men due to increased risk factors such as hormones and co-morbidities that are more likely to occur in women.

When a stroke occurs, decreasing the time to intervention presents significant opportunities to improve patient outcomes and quality of life. This Women in Medtech Forum will focus on innovative solutions for stroke symptom monitoring and treatment, with a specific emphasis on increasing access to care. Industry leaders will join us for this informative discussion around the need for continued investments in stroke care, including remote surgical solutions under development and home health technology available to reduce the risk of an additional stroke. Register now to have a seat at the table for this important women’s health topic.

In-person registration is now sold out.
But free, virtual tickets are still available!
