This session will discuss the current state and anticipated future state of supply chain for Massachusetts medical device companies. Topics will include: current burning platforms such as access to labor, issues relating to raw materials, sterilization options and supply chain and cyber security. The session will include a high-level presentation or a report that will be available on the MassMEDIC  website, as well as a moderated panel of Massachusetts supply chain leaders.

ESG & Sustainability in Your Supply Chain: Measuring & Reporting Progress and Actively Engaging Stakeholder


During the May 2022 MassMEDIC supply chain event, there was much discussion on the value of sustainability & ESG in the supply chain for all sizes of Medical Device companies and their suppliers. In this follow-up discussion, the panel will focus on addressing some of the specific challenges associated with implementing a successful program, including:

Lisa Brady is the Vice President, Global Sustainability and Chief Sustainability Officer at Insulet Corporation.  In this role, she leads the corporate ESG strategy, developing innovative new business models and ecosystems to sustain positive global impact. She has held Executive roles in Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility in Supply Chain at Cisco, Dell EMC and EMC Corporation driving strategies and goals in circular economy, social and environmental responsibility, product stewardship, and risk and resiliency. She also spent several years in IT and internal consulting designing and leading transformations. Lisa started her career journey in the healthcare industry where she held leadership positions at Massachusetts General Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine, and provided consulting services to the World Health Organization.

Alyssa's work covers Scope 3 Carbon accounting and reduction efforts, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics & Transparency, and Responsible Sourcing. Prior to life sciences, Alyssa has over a dozen years of corporate sustainability and product compliance in the electronics, manufacturing, and apparel industries. She holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters degree in Engineering management from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.




Geoff DaCosta

Geoff DaCosta currently leads business development activities for Philips’ Image Guided Therapy business, where he focuses on identifying new portfolio expansions in the coronary, peripheral vascular and electrophysiology domains. Prior to Philips, he served in multiple business development and strategy roles at both Medtronic and Covidien, concentrating on both surgical and vascular technologies. Previous to his time in the MedTech industry, he worked in the Transaction Advisory Services group of Ernst & Young, as well as multiple boutique private equity advisory firms. Geoff holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
