Join us for the Women in MedTech Networking & Leadership Forum event on November 14, 2019, where a our panel of exceptional women executives share insights and advice to advance your career in MedTech.

Our panel, which will be moderated by Allison DeAngelis, Life Sciences Reporter, Boston Business Journal, will feature Kate Rumrill, CEO, Ablative Solutons and Anh Hoang, Co-founder and Chief Science Officer, Sofregen. Ms. Rumrill and Dr. Hoang have taken very different paths to the corner office. They each bring a unique viewpoint about how to successfully move up the ladder, build teams and manage your career.

The event will be held at PTC's Seaport headquarters in the heart of Boston's innovation district.

About the Women in MedTech Networking and Leadership Forum

The mission of the MassMedic Women in MedTech Networking and Leadership Forum is to provide networking opportunities that inspire, engage, mentor and connect women at every stage of their professional career and from all areas of the New England medtech ecosystem.

The Forum convenes a series of events featuring speakers and panels discussing the issues, challenges and opportunities for women in the medtech industry. Each event will also include structured networking time to enable attendees to make new connections.



About our guests speakers:


Kate Rumrill, President & CEO, Ablative Solutions: With 30 years industry experience, Kate Rumrill brings deep expertise in delivering products to market from both the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

Rumrill most recently served as president and CEO of NeoSync, Inc., a clinical stage, non-invasive neuromodulation company, focused on developing products to treat patients with major depressive disorder and other diseases of the central nervous system. She will remain on the board of directors for NeoSync, Inc. Prior to NeoSync, Rumrill was vice president, global medical affairs for Covidien’s peripheral vascular business. She began her career in pharma, holding varied roles in preclinical and clinical research, most notably with Eli Lilly and Company, where she contributed to the development and support of FDA approvals of several blockbuster neuroscience product offerings.

Ahn Hoang, Chief Science Officer, Co-Founder, Sofregen: As a co-founder of Sofregen, Dr. Hoang leverages her 10+ years of biomedical research experience with her strategic vision to bring silk-based products to market. She has built a strong R&D team and developed a robust regulatory strategy for the company to bring these products to market. Dr. Hoang has published her research in high impact peer-reviewed journals. She is also an active member of the New England Women in Science Executives Club and on the Mount Holyoke College Career Development Leadership Board. She earned her doctorate degree in interdisciplinary material science engineering from Vanderbilt University as a National Science Foundation (IGERT) graduate fellow. She completed her post-doctoral training in biomedical engineering at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital as an Executive Committee on Research (ECOR) fellow.

Meg Eckenroad, Vice President, Women's Health, Hologic: Ms. Eckenroad serves as the Vice President, Women's Health at one of the world's largest women's health companies, Hologic. She has worked at the company since 2003.

Allison Deangelis, Life Sciences Report, Boston Business Journal: Allison DeAngelis covers the life sciences, biotech and medical device industries in Massachusetts.
