THE OPPORTUNITY
In this Senior Financial Analyst, you will be an integral part of Activ Surgical’s Finance team, supporting the company-wide budgeting and forecasting processes, financial modeling, month-end close process, preparing monthly and ad hoc reporting and analysis and supporting audit/compliance activities. This role is also pivotal in maintaining/building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. As Activ Surgical continues to scale, the person in this role will:
  • Develop analysis and reporting on performance of critical initiatives across the organization to support decision-making and planning process, including tracking cash burn and budget to actuals reporting.
  • Support delivery of accurate and timely month-end budget vs actual variance analysis, Board of Director’s, management and investor reporting. Create and manage standardized reporting packages to effectively communicate relevant information.  Support compliance/Sunshine Act reporting.
  • Prepare multi-year financial models
  • Support diligence process for fundraising activities
  • Act as the designated business partner for various functional leaders, responsible for identifying and communicating financial trends, performing ad hoc financial analysis, and scenario planning to help support decision making.
  • Partner with our third-party accounting team to support month-end close process, invoice and inventory reconciliations, fixed asset depreciation schedules, and P&L variance analysis.
  • Provide support to Commercial organization, specifically, sales reporting and analysis, preparing sales commission payments, completing AR/AP analytics
  • Support Corporate Tax requests
  • Manage Concur expense reporting system
  • Support various system activities such as review of purchase orders, inventory management, New Customer Setup (credit terms, limit, etc.)
  • Support audit activities

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting
  • 4+ years financial analysis experienced preferably in Medical Device/Med Tech/SaaS
  • Excel superstar
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments and highly capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly capable of effectively communicating complex subjects to various stakeholders
  • Highly data-driven and detail oriented, while still capable of seeing “the big picture”
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization software (i.e.  Tableau, Power BI) and FP&A software preferred
  • Proficient with ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus), experience with Concur, Bill.com a plus
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financials controls/SOX
  • Prior experience supporting Sales organizations a plus
  • Outstanding teammate with impeccable integrity
