The Manufacturing Technician performs a variety of duties in support of engineering and production, including troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and processing problems. Responsible for setting up new jobs, working with engineering to develop and improve processes. Able to train setup personnel and support development of operator training instructions. Familiar with various inspection gages and techniques and recording measurement results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Performs set-up and operations of all UFP machinery he/she has been trained to operate.
  • Works with engineering to create sample parts run at different machine settings.
  • Monitors machine operations while maintaining quality.
  • Troubleshoots and corrects operational problems as they occur.
  • Understands production orders, blueprints, and Travelers.
  • Works closely with Shift Supervisor to address minor maintenance and processing problems.

Education / Experience:  

  • High school diploma, GED, or Vocational School along with Advanced Coursework.
  • 2-3 years of machine setup experience.
  • Experience successfully troubleshooting processing problems and making minor repairs to equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
