Summary of Position

Responsible for marketing to drive revenue growth and market expansion in the ED. Lead the team responsible and set the strategy and tactics to grow the ED business including positioning, pricing, programs and products to achieve growth targets. Support the business growth on the ground in the field by development and nurturing of KOLs and the development and field testing of sales programs and approaches. Lead the team with specific product and market responsibility within the ED space and supporting enabling markets. Develop and implement global marketing and product development plans that drive usage and customer acceptance. Set direction for pricing, sales programs, and sales process in the ED and adjacent supporting markets. Work closely and cooperatively with Sales, Clinical, Production and Regulatory. Set direction for product portfolio, marketing participation in product realization and product launch.
Lead the ED Franchise team responsible for market and product management
Build relationships with KOLs and Vapotherm field team in the field to create and execute on sales strategy and product definition and usability.
Act as the company expert on the market. Understands the market trends and market size, the customer, competing systems and companies and potential new competing technologies.
Drive an Inbound Marketing digital presence and program that drives lead generation and accelerates sales cycle.
Lead product definition, support development, usability and launch and assure product is positioned correctly in the market place and that the value proposition is clearly and effectively communicated.
Lead marketing communication to assure high quality collateral, messaging, sales tools and trade show presence
Develop reference centers and centers of excellence that drive peer to peer selling.
Work collaboratively with Education and Clinical Specialist team to assure excellent medical education programs and product training for all clinical stakeholders.
Collaborate with Sales training to assure appropriate product, market and sales process training for global field teams
Lead the downstream marketing effort including:
Appropriate pricing, economic justification and reimbursement strategy
Product promotion including sales support tools, product brochures, slide presentations, press releases, patient education materials and other product marketing collateral
Communication of scientific and clinical information to customers
Responsible for overall P&L and works with Sales and production to assure adequate product supply
Position Requirements – Education, Knowledge, Years of Experience, etc.
Bachelors Degree (masters preferred)
More than fifteen years experience within the medical device industry
Five plus years experience as a Product Manager or Marketing Program Manager. Emergency department and/or respiratory market experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills, strong written and oral skills.
Ability to lead teams and manage projects.
Experienced in developing training materials, and making presentations to internal staff and potential and actual customers.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (50%)
Computer and internet savvy including email, spreadsheets, slide creation, social networks
